Westhome Care Services are provider of homecare, also known as domiciliary care. We specialise in working with service users and their families that require social care in their own homes. We offer a service of tailored care visits from 15minutes to full 24 hour support.
Our commitment to quality has played an important part in our success. Westhome Care Services is a family run business which was founded by caring professionals who had grown tired of seeing service users not receiving the level of care that they deserve. With over 50 years of combined experience, we understand the importance of working closely alongside service users and their families.
We currently provide care services throughout the North East of England.
Training
We offer high quality accredited training courses for all of our staff – we want all of our staff trained to a high level – to provide the best possible care to our service users. We provide all mandatory training such as Moving and Handling of people, Health and Safety, First Aid, Infection Control, Handling medication, Food Hygiene & Nutritional Care and Safeguarding Adults. We also offer further training in Dementia Care, continence training, End of Life Care, Equality and Diversity, Breakaway training, Diabetes awareness, Epilepsy awareness; and Learning difficulties and challenging behaviour awarenss.
All new care staff attend a full induction and carry out The Care Certificate, they will then progress to Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
We believe highly trained staff equals high levels of care.
